Muhamad Yasir

Head of People at Brick

Muhamad Yasir is a Certified HR Management Professional and visionary leader with over 10 years of diverse experience in local and global companies spanning various industries. He currently serves as the Chief of People at Brick (onebrick.io), a leading open finance startup focusing on B2B Payments and Data Aggregation Platforms in Southeast Asia. In this role, he drives strategic human capital development and organizational transformation, overseeing all aspects of talent performance management, culture, compensation and benefits, employee engagement and learning, and tactical daily people operations. His collaborative approach ensures alignment with the overall organizational goals, fostering an inclusive, supportive, and fun working culture for all Bricksters.

Working closely with the CEO and leadership team, Yasir crafts and executes strategic initiatives that resonate with Brick’s vision, mission, and values. Leading day-to-day people operations, he partners with various stakeholders to deliver best-in-class people programs and services, driving productivity, efficiency, and excellence. David Syamtar

HR Expert

David Syamtar is a distinguished Human Resources leader with over 11 years of experience across consulting, retail, insurance, and digital retail industries. Holding both Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Human Resources, with a minor in Marketing, David is certified in HR Change Management and a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP). David’s expertise spans HR transformation, organizational development, talent management, performance, and engagement strategies. His strategic influence has been pivotal in managing licenses for global brands and aligning HR practices with organizational growth objectives.

Currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship at Prasetiya Mulya University, David blends deep academic insights with a hands-on approach to deliver innovative HR solutions. His passion for empowering Indonesian talent has led to initiatives like establishing a Leadership School to enhance competencies and unlock potential in the future.

David has also been recognized for his contributions to the HR industry as a seasoned judge, speaker, and recipient of multiple prestigious awards. His role as a judge in various HR and business competitions and his participation as a sought-after speaker at industry conferences underscores his commitment to advancing HR practices. These accolades, alongside his extensive work in building HR structures for complex businesses, highlight David’s dedication to excellence and leadership within the HR community. As a judge for the HR Stars Awards 2024, David brings a wealth of expertise, a keen eye for innovation, and a dedication to celebrating outstanding achievements in HR.

Abdi Hamdani

HR Expert

Abdi Hamdani, a Human Resources Professional & Director at a packaging group of companies, brings over 26 years of experience in human capital management. Known for his strategic vision, Abdi excels in aligning talent strategies with organizational goals, driving employee performance, and fostering positive work environments. His previous roles include General Manager of Human Capital at the biggest spice processing company in South East Asia and key strategic positions at the largest cement manufacturing company in Indonesia, where he led transformative initiatives in HR management and learning development.

Abdi holds an MBA from Universitas Gadjah Mada, a Master of Science from the University of Indonesia, and a Bachelor’s degree from Universitas Negeri Padang. Now he is pursuing his Doctoral at the University of Padjadjaran. He has managed cross-cultural teams through various business conditions, including mergers and acquisitions, showcasing his adeptness in handling complex HR challenges on a global scale. His founded institute, Cendikia Institute of Business and Leadership, highlights his dedication to developing future leaders, and his BNSP certification for HR Directorship underscores his commitment to excellence in the HR field.

As an active lecturer, chairman of the Indonesian IATSS Forum Country Committee, and frequent speaker at HR conferences, Abdi’s contributions to the field extend beyond his directorial roles. His extensive experience, combined with his strategic and innovative approach to human capital, make him a distinguished leader in the HR community.

Reno Rafly

VP of People Experience in Paxel Indonesia

Reno Rafly is the VP of People Experience at Paxel Indonesia. With 15+ years of strategic global HR experience, Reno has made significant strides in talent management, change management, HR technology, and organizational effectiveness. Her expertise in combining cutting-edge research with future talent forecasting enables her to develop impactful organizational strategies.

She has earned a master’s degree from New York University in Organizational Behavior (highest distinction) and a bachelor’s degree from York College, USA, in Psychology (magna cum laude).

As a distinguished HR tech researcher, Reno provides business leaders with deep analytical insights to best adopt new HR technologies that align with their talent objectives. Her thought leadership and innovative strategies have earned her recognition as an HR Role Player 2022 by the World HRD Congress and an HR Excellence Award by HR Success Talk.

Achmad Ziki Rahmad Hidayat

His expertise extends beyond traditional HR functions, with a strong foundation in Law, complemented by a Master’s degree in Corporate Communication. Herfi Rani Ifdalia

Human Resources Director of VML

Herfi Rani Ifdalia is a passionate and versatile Human Resources professional with extensive knowledge of the marketing and communication industry. She has a wealth of experience in talent management, recruitment, HR consulting, and strategic initiatives. 

With over 15 years of experience in the field, she has worked for several renowned local and international marketing and communication companies, including Dwi Sapta Group, Narrada Communications, MullenLowe Indonesia, Ogilvy Indonesia, Havas Group Indonesia, Heroleads Indonesia, and currently VML Indonesia. 

In her role, Herfi is responsible for aligning business procedures and solutions with human resources to meet the needs of various client groups within the organization.

Herfi’s proven track record in HR management and her dedication to nurturing relationships make her a valuable judge for the HR Stars Awards Indonesia. Her ability to blend technical HR knowledge with a deep understanding of human dynamics ensures that she can rigorously and empathetically evaluate nominees.

Anna Yuliani

Founder of Quantum HR Indonesia

Anna Yuliani has over 13 years of experience in HR, specializing in recruitment and training. She has successfully recruited for sectors including healthcare, retail, logistics, and F&B, up to C-level positions. She was an HR Manager for Company Holding namely PT Importa Jaya Abadi in 2022, where she drove HR strategy and provided business solutions. And for now she is a Founder of Quantum HR Indonesia, a provider in HR and Career Training for the last 3 years.

Anna is also a career mentor dedicated to helping job seekers find their dream jobs. She leverages her extensive experience to mentor MSMEs, demonstrating remarkable leadership and strategic thinking.

Her achievements include establishing HRIS, composing company regulations, and developing a competency model for all positions within her current organization.

Anna holds a Master’s degree on Management from Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta and a Magister Sains Psikologi from Universitas Mercubuana Yogyakarta. Her dedication and strategic acumen make her a valuable asset as a judge for HR Stars Awards Indonesia, where she can apply her comprehensive HR expertise and insightful perspectives.

Paul Howell

Publisher and Managing Editor

Paul Howell is one of Asia’s most experienced business journalists covering workplaces and the HR profession in the region. With a media career spanning more than 20 years, and bases in Melbourne, Dhaka, Singapore, and Hong Kong, he is adept at building large-scale professional communities and empowering them with news, insights, and relevant analysis.

After leading the US-owned HRM Magazine in Singapore for more than 10 years, he launched Chief of Staff Asia in September 2021. This professional trade media brand for the digital age combines both online (website, socials, video) and offline (printed magazine, awards and live events) platforms to bring all of Southeast Asia’s HR professionals and best practice case studies together in one community.
